As part of a broader company-wide strategy to centralize and scale shared tools across DaySmart’s product lines, we needed to redesign two key features—Reputation Management and Website Builder—to work seamlessly across our customer verticals (Salon, Pet, Spa, and Body Art).

Both tools originated outside of DaySmart’s core product ecosystem:

  • Reputation Management was inherited from TeamUp and not originally designed for multi-vertical use.

  • Website Builder was a third-party integration via Duda, requiring thoughtful UX tailoring to match DaySmart’s brand and flow.

The challenge was to deliver intuitive, consistent, and scalable experiences that respected each vertical’s identity while aligning with DaySmart’s shared product vision.

Design and scale shared product experiences that:

  • Feel intentional and tailored for DaySmart users across multiple industries

  • Integrate seamlessly into the existing Self and Pet platforms

  • Reduce duplicate design and development work through reusable UX patterns

  • Support business objectives like retention, upsell opportunities, and faster feature rollouts

Research

Reputation Management

The original Reputation Management experience was designed by another designer for TeamUp. I collaborated with that designer to understand the rationale behind the original UI, then audited the designs to identify elements that were too narrowly tailored to a specific business type (e.g., fitness studios).

To ensure the tool could serve a wider range of businesses, I partnered with Marketing to rebrand the experience to align with DaySmart’s visual and tonal identity across Salon, Pet, Spa, and Body Art. I then rebuilt the design system in Figma to support flexible branding while retaining the core functionality.

Website Builder

The Website Builder was powered by Duda’s Simple Editor, and required integration across a range of DaySmart tools including Online Booking, SSO, and Zuora billing.

I collaborated with Product and Engineering to:

  • Map the full technical flow and design around known constraints

  • Create a seamless guided setup and self-provisioning trial experience

  • Ensure customers had a clear path from trying the tool to publishing their site and being billed appropriately

Define

Defining the Problem

We focused on building flexible, brand-consistent, and scalable shared product experiences that worked across verticals while preserving DaySmart’s native look and feel. This required carefully designing handoffs between:

  • Internal platforms (Self/Pet apps)

  • Third-party tools (Duda, TeamUp integrations)

  • Varying user entry points (self-provisioned vs. sales-provisioned)

Design

Reputation Management

  • Audited and restructured UI originally designed for TeamUp

  • Made core flows more vertical-agnostic while preserving clarity

  • Rebranded the interface for DaySmart look and feel across four industries

  • Built new shared components and visual tokens for modular reuse

    Website Builder

    • Designed a flexible trial-to-purchase setup flow

    • Created user-friendly prompts that clearly explained value and billing triggers

    • Worked closely with Product to ensure technical integrations (SSO, billing, booking embed) felt seamless

    • Developed modular UX that could support future enhancements like custom domains and multi-page sites

      Outcomes & Impact

      Reputation Management

      • Successfully scaled a single-vertical tool into a multi-vertical, shared experience

      • Rebuilt the UI to align with DaySmart branding across four customer segments

      • As of January 2025, nearly 1,000 customers across Beauty and DaySmart Pet were actively using Reputation Management—with significant runway left for expansion across all verticals

      Website Builder

      • Designed and launched a seamless, scalable self-provisioning website builder flow

      • Created a flexible upgrade prompt that balanced ease of use with business model clarity

      • By March 2025, 66 businesses across DaySmart Beauty and Pet had adopted the Website Builder add-on, signaling strong early traction after launch in January

These projects were two of the first fully realized Shared Products at DaySmart and laid the foundation for cross-vertical scalability, faster feature rollout, and future shared experiences.
